We can work with your architect/draftsman on your pre-designed home, or you can involve us and our trusted architects at the preliminary design stage for a collaborative approach. Ambionse Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF):

Hegarty Building has experience with Ambionse Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF).

What are Ambionse Insulated Concrete Forms, and why use it?

Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF) is a poly block wall constructed from two exteriors (EPS) polystyrene panels spaced apart by plastic bridges. The inner cavity has reinforcing steel placed both horizontally and vertically, ready for concrete to fill the wall.

Reclads & Watertight Remediations

Homeowners have approached us for re-clads for one of the following reasons:

• Leaky homes – localised or significant moisture damage.
• Remove the leaky home stigma associated with their monolithic cladding home.
• To Increase the aesthetic value of their home, or simply to rejuvenate a tired exterior.

Leaky homes were built during the 1990s and 2000s building boom. A combination of poor weathertight cladding systems (e.g. monolithic cladding), a relaxation in timber treatments standards, and poor design has resulted in water getting in between the cladding system and framework. The framework rots which jeopardises the structural integrity of a home and encourages the growth of toxic mould.

A re-clad is a whole different process to a new build, and not every builder can step you through the process smoothly. Hegarty Building offers extensive experience and the right skill set to provide you with accurate costings, realistic construction timelines and high quality, long-lasting re-clad.

The wall systems we have worked with include:
