Welcome to Hutton Builders Ltd, created in 2010 by Lance Hutton himself with a vision to deliver top quality building and experiences to his clients. Lance has successfully built a name for himself in the wider Auckland area and Coromandel for doing just that. Together Lance and his partner Jana work collectively to deliver only the best quality workmanship and service within their trade.

Their small family operated business means you constantly have contact with the owners themselves so that you are not made to feel like just a number. Together Lance and Jana, who is a qualified interior designer, are always there to answer questions and give advice to their clients.

Lance Hutton has been building for over 18 years now, and still to this day is actively involved with building and delivering beautiful homes as well as guiding his team of builders to follow in his footsteps. He has an undeniable passion and eye for detail when it comes to building, and he strives to deliver only the best results.

Hutton Builders specialises mainly in high end architecturally designed homes, however they do work on any projects whether big or small. They may range from kitchens, small extensions, bathroom renovations, to decks, sheds and light commercial.

Lance, Jana and the Hutton Builders team recently renovated two houses which were to become homes for 4 people who have intellectual disabilities and very high and complex needs. I chose to use Hutton Builders for our build at Pauanui because I wanted to be able to sit back and enjoy a beer after the build, and not see anything that wasn’t quite right.
I also wanted to enjoy the building process. Most building projects are very stressful.
I wanted a builder who treated the build as if it was his own, this was often a joke with friends they would say “mike who owns this building”.
Lance Hutton continually pushed for excellence. Even pushing me at times “Mike you can’t do that”. When you are a bit tired of the constant decisions, it is good to have someone who does this. Hutton Builders have completed both renovations and new builds for my family. These homes have been at the top end of the market in the million dollar plus category. Lance and his team deliver a standard of building rarely seen in residential construction today. Their attention to detail is second to none while their professionalism turns what can be a stressful process into enjoyable and exciting projects. Lance also assumed responsibility for Project Management on our recently built Holiday Home and this approach delivered what can only be described as a magnificent result in a timely and cost effective manner.

Having just recently completely our extensive alterations with Hutton Builders, we cannot recommend Lance, Jana and the team highly enough.
Our alteration included extending our family room in which we added a large open fire place, two large bi folding cantilever doors either side with an outdoor fire pit…Outdoor entrance way including a 4 car carport and breezeway.
This build far exceeded our expectations when finished. We found the build to be stress free and enjoyable, this largely was due to the foresight of Lance and his team being highly organised.
Their experience and design expertise are second to none. We look forward to working with them on future projects.

Living 2 hours drive away from a property in Pukekohe that was in need of a serious makeover presents major hurdles. Just finding the right builder was the first challenge. Then to be faced with the problems of coordinating the essentials of plumbing, electrical and appliances to mention just a few put my project firmly in the too hard basket.
However after one phone call to Jana at Hutton Builders and the job became easy.They arranged everything worry free. Two showers were completely removed and replaced, hand basin, two toilets along with electrical work and kitchen and laundry appliances. After the painting and carpet was completed Jana also arranged a cleaner so the property was immaculate.
I am very happy with the end result. I cannot say how great Jana was. She kept in contact during the whole process and sourced the required appliances.
I would fully recommend the service and work of Hutton Builders and would certainly use them again should the need arise.
