Enjoy a healthier, cleaner home during the painting process. Ideal Decorators Ltd use 99% dust free sanding machines from Germany

Ideal Decorators Ltd are proud to use German designed and manufactured 99% dust free sanders for the preparation of your surfaces resulting in a smoother interior paint finish.

How do these sanders differ from other sanding techniques?

Wall, floor and architrave sanding is an incredibly dusty business and can slow down the painting process if not handled properly. Ideal Decorators Ltd choose dust free sanders from Germany because they are the best in the industry and provide results that other painters will envy.

1. A dust free environment

From preparation to completion your home interior will remain free from the particles that so often get trapped in the atmosphere.
2. Safe removal of toxic lead paint

You've no doubt heard all the stories about lead paint and its high toxicity rating. The sanding machines used by Ideal Decorators Ltd meet all safety guidelines thus ensuring that your family - fur babies and all - are protected.
3. Surface protection

Your wood, shingle, shake, weatherboard or sander friendly concrete surface is safe from potential damage.
4. Saves you time and money

Ideal Decorators Ltd vacuum as we go. The clear polycarbonate dust shroud on the sander has nylon bristles which sweep up dust into a specialised vacuum heavily reducing the time it takes to prepare a surface.

No more painfully slow and messy paint stripping and sanding. Refer to the testimonials page under About Us for proof from our many satisfied clients.

Thorough preparation leading to high quality, long-lasting result

There's nothing worse than a painted surface that looks thick, lined and patchy. Sadly, without proper preparation, this is what will happen. For Ideal Decorators, preparation is the most important factor when it comes to a silky smooth paint finish.
What steps will Ideal Decorators take to ensure your surfaces are well prepared?

1. A thorough analysis of all surfaces to see what prep work needs to be done.
2. Create a checklist of faults to fix to ensure a fantastic end result.
3. Isolate areas where lead paint has been used so that the right method for stripping and sanding is applied.
4. Intensive sanding and scraping using our specialised 99% dust-free sanders made in Germany.

To maintain our reputation for being the best house painting business in Auckland, Ideal Decorators has invested in the best quality products, and our 99% dust-free sanders fit that description. Head over to our interior painting page and learn how you stand to benefit from this sanding technique.

All required scaffolding is assembled on-site by Ideal Decorators, we own our own!

Some painters will have to enlist the services of a scaffolding company to install any required scaffolding around your property which can add a significant additional cost to the job. However, by assembling our own scaffolding on-site, Ideal Decorators are able to ensure that all elevated work platforms are in the right place for the right job, which reduces the overall cost to you by avoiding this. Safety is of utmost importance which is why full safety procedures are adhered to - especially regarding secure scaffolding and ladder placement.

Paint stain advice and application on your fence, deck or cedar weatherboards

Should you use a water-based or oil-based wood stain on your timber cladding? Which timbers are better suited to staining? When you need advice about timber staining, call Ideal Decorators.

You're right to seek out the services of an expert as no two timber types are the same. Cedar, for example, is a relatively soft timber which is easily damaged by pressure such as water blasting (it's better to scrub or wash cedar with a quality house wash) and requires a unique method for the application of wood stains.

Would you rather get a professional in to handle the task? Ideal Decorators understand that your weatherboards, fascias, wall and roof shingles, hardwood decking, pergolas and fences are best cared for with a high-quality timber wood stain. We use all the right products and know which method to use for the application.
