Hi, I'm Katie. I’m a Home Build Mentor, working alongside homeowners and residential building industry professionals to streamline new custom build and major renovation projects.

Homeowners often reflect on how stressful the process of creating their new home was, and with the right help, that doesn’t need to be the case.

I am totally obsessed with all things home creation. For twenty-plus years, I have been involved in the residential building industry as a Registered Building Designer and Project Manager. First as a Senior Designer and Director with Vibe Design Group, then in my own design studio, Katie Rees Design, since 2018.

As a sole practitioner, it became evident that the inquiry rate surpassed my capacity to serve everyone with my design service, and inquiring homeowners expressed feeling lost and unsure how to navigate the impending process. The need to help more homeowners on the right track to a successful project completion sparked the creation of the Home Build Mentoring offerings, a suite of pro-active services designed to support custom home build projects. The programs and reports bring clarity and direction to what can be, at times, a complicated industry.
