Kestrel Building is a residential building company based in Sydney’s inner west. From its inception, the aim of Kestrel Building has been to make a positive impact on our patch of the world by operating with integrity and putting our clients’ needs at the forefront of what we do.

Kestrel Building’s core business is in delivering architect-designed renovations and new-builds in Sydney’s inner west. On occasion, we also undertake sizeable refurbishment projects.

We understand that navigating the process of renovating or building can be a daunting one, and we field a lot of enquiries of that nature. Where we have the capacity, we may be able to provide a set-fee consultation to discuss renovation ideas and provide reliable advice suited to your specific needs.

Architect-Designed Renovations and New Builds.

Carrying our architect-design renovations and new builds is Kestrel Building’s bread and butter. We specialise in renovating houses in Sydney’s inner west, and as such have experience with all the dominant architectural styles of the area. We love taking on the challenge of melding old with new, and pride ourselves on our uncompromisingly high standard of execution in doing so. We are experienced in dealing with heritage-listed properties and all the considerations this entails. Navigating constraints such as limited space and access, as is the case with so many inner west properties, is also second nature to us.

We understand what a huge investment it is to renovate or build your home and appreciate how important a role trust and transparency play in ensuring a smooth and happy process on the way to an excellent finished project. Strong relationships with architects, clients and specialist trades are key to Kestrel Building’s success.

Residential Fit-Outs and Internal Refurbishment.

Occasionally, where capacity allows, Kestrel Building may be able to carry out non-DA residential refurbishment and fit-outs, such as a reworking of an internal layout, or sizeable bathroom or kitchen renovations.

General Renovation and DA Advice.

We understand how confusing it can be to move from having ideas about renovations to your home to formalising the ideas in the engagement of an architect and going through the DA process. Not surprisingly, we often have enquiries from people seeking advice as to what might be achievable — particularly in terms of cost — when it comes to renovation ideas.

Where availability allows, Kestrel Building may be able to provide a fixed-price consultation to discuss renovation ideas and general advice pertaining to the Development Application process (although councils and specialist DA consulting services are best placed for more specific information regarding DA requirements and constraints).
