We are proud of the many awards and accolades Lanzpec has received during the last 30 years.

Lanzpec have participated six successive years at the Ellerslie Flower Shows held in Auckland.

1st year Silver: Inaugural Ellerslie Flower Show Exhibit indoors. Silver award for “Slice of Pavlova Paradise”.

2nd year Silver: Tropical Garden, very large outdoor display with a large pond and thatched-roof hut by Local Maori using Nikau fronds.

3rd year Gold: “The Fire Garden” designed by Tim Feather and Nanda Patel. Fire fountain and table fountain. Sculptures by Phillip Luxton.

4th year: Lanzpec was commissioned to build the large ASB Marque. Display based on Samuel Taylor Coleridge’s Poem Kubla Khan. This was not judged as a special request.

5th year: “Party Garden” Deigned by Marg Robinson, Bruce Robinson and Nanda Patel. This garden was not judged but was used in a documentary televised in the UK. We were asked by Bob Sweet to make the display again at the Chelsea Flower Show in the UK. Everyone loved it and it was the talk of the show, a special party was held, with cook on-site and an Opera Singer was asked to sing at the entrance.

6th year Silver: Twining’s Tea Company sponsored this setup. This was the first time Twining’s had ever won any award and were delighted with the results. We displayed in the Ellerslie Flower Show Street of gold (only for those who had won a gold award in the past could exhibit here, invite-only).

Lanzpec also built a number of other exhibits for designers including Xanthe White and Gold awards were achieved 3 times.

Lanzpec have won 2 gold awards and 1 silver at the North Shore Home Show, and silver at the Waitakere Home Show. We were given the privilege of a free display area at the entrance to the North Shore Home show as they were so delighted with our workmanship and designs.

Our stunning landscapes and gardens have received magazine coverage in NZ Gardener, Weekend Gardener, Trends, Next and Alfresco magazine. We’ve also featured in a UK documentary hosted by the convener of the Chelsea Flower Show, as well as the book ‘Inspiration from the Ellerslie Flower Show’ by Gil Hanly.
