""Mark worked with us to co-design a fairly extensive renovation to allow our house to reach it's potential and adapt to the changing needs of our family as our boys moved out of primary and into high-school. Mark really listened. We provided endless lists of what we wanted but he heard our off-the-cuff comment that really nailed our frustration with the house. His design got rid of the problem - we needed to move our stairs. There were many other design changes (walls to be knocked down, others to be built, a new bathroom added, an old bathroom revamped to include an internal laundry and a teen hang-out room created) but moving the stairs was the big one. We loved the solution but when the builder began work we started second-guessing ourselves and looking for excuses to not move the stairs as the realities of living in a building site and trying to stay within a budget came into sharp and scary focus. Mark immediately came over on a rescue mission and helped us to recommit to our goal. So we stuck with the plan, survived the build, went on a holiday and are now absolutely loving our new home. Even our teen boys like it. It finally feels spacious and generous despite having the same footprint and it is so much easier to keep tidy. We know we wouldn't have been as delighted with the end result if we had backed out of moving the stairs. He worked with me from the very beginning, through until the building process, presenting me with designs, advice, following up on my behalf with council requests, then providing drawings & support to my builder.
