Maulder Builders

Today, Maulder Builders operates from a purpose-built facility on Napier Road, equipped with a state-of-the-art joinery workshop, modern offices, and storage solutions for clients. This space allows us to handle projects of any size while maintaining our hallmark attention to detail.
Led by Peter and a team of seasoned professionals, including foremen, quantity surveyors, and office staff, we ensure every build reflects our passion for quality. Many of our tradespeople have been with us for years, and their expertise is matched by our trusted subcontractors, some of whom have partnered with us for over three decades.

Founded by Peter Maulder, Maulder Builders began with a simple philosophy: build it right the first time. Trained under respected craftsmen, Peter honed his skills and developed a reputation for detail, precision, and integrity. These values continue to shape every project we undertake.

Our journey has been one of steady growth, driven by word of mouth and the trust of clients who know we deliver on our promises. From Peter’s early days learning his craft in Taranaki to establishing roots in Hawke’s Bay, Peter and his team are focused on setting and exceeding the highest standards.

Over the decades, we’ve been privileged to create some of Hastings and Havelock North’s most admired homes. While our work often flies under the radar, its impact is undeniable — more than 50 bespoke builds speak volumes about our craftsmanship. What set's us apart is that we take care of everything from the construction of the home, as well as the many other aspects that create a residence of status - swimming pools, pool rooms, garaging and stunning landscaping.

Our greatest accolades come from the relationships we build with clients, many trusting us with multiple projects, knowing our team delivers precision and care every step of the way.
