Recently, Laura and I engaged Olbroc Projects to complete a renovation at our property in Holland Park.

The renovation involved building under and out from our home and was to provide us with another bathroom, lounge/rumpus and 2 extra bedrooms. We were somewhat nervous as this was our first foray into a significant renovation and we did not have any contacts in, or knowledge of, the building industry. Any anxious thoughts were immediately dispelled after Oliver’s initial visit. Not only was Oliver personable yet professional, down to earth and easy to connect with, he instantly saw an opportunity for us re-think our plan in order to arrive at a more functional and aesthetically pleasing end result.

This genuine care to provide us with the best possible outcome continued throughout the entire build. Brock and team didn’t just come in, build to the plan and leave. They regularly communicated with us throughout the process other potential ways of doing something and always with the view to have a better outcome and without any pressure, the final decision was always up to us.

When you try and join a new build to a 60 year old property, issues are bound to come up but not at any stage did this seem to be a problem for Brock and, given his experience and expertise, any and every scenario was always presented to us with a solution already thought through. No problem was too big and no request from Laura and I was too much of a hassle, the entire team including all sub-contractors were simply amazing!

Our end result is better than we could have ever imagined and it simply would not have been possible if it wasn’t for us choosing Oliver and Brock to do our renovation. We truly feel so blessed to have found Olbroc Projects and we have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone who is embarking on build.

Oliver and Brock showed us incredible patience and generosity of time throughout the process – even after a false start at the beginning (a bit of an on-again, off-again reno). I approached many builders in the process of finding the right fit for our renovation and I never once felt patronised or dismissed by Oliver and Brock like I did with others. The finished product speaks for itself. Our family and friends are blown away by the transformation. My husband says how much he loves our house every day. We’re very excited for life in our (practically) new family home.

Olbroc transformed my little post war Queenslander from a tired old house into a modern welcoming home. Walls were stripped back, a small extension added with new kitchen, bathroom and deck.

I know renovating tends to get a bad write-up, but honestly I didn’t have that experience with Olbroc Projects at all.

Our renovation was 12 months in development approvals and planning before we even spoke to Oli and Brock at Olbroc, so already my husband and I were a bit frazzled by the whole renovating process.

They came on board and were honestly a pleasure to deal with, so much so that they renewed our enthusiasm in continuing with the build. They were always friendly and professional and took the time to explain something if I needed that to happen, no “just get your husband to call me” from those guys.

Olbroc renovated an area of my home into a new family bathroom, that included removing a couple of windows, a back door, set of external stairs, and installing a complete new family bathroom. I wanted to source all the fixtures and hardware myself, and Olbroc were really helpful (and patient!) and installed everything perfectly. We wanted to thank Oliver and Brock for the wonderful job they did at our home.

We had a beach shack that we wanted to become our forever home. The reno was pretty major – new wall cladding inside and out, every old casement window replaced with resized louvres, new relocated kitchen, renovated bathroom and an extension with new ensuite, re-roofing, solar panels installed, and two new decks.

The experience these guys bought to the project enabled them to solve numerous challenges along the journey with us beyond our expectations.
