We installed a large 100sq metre deck in Whangamata in 2022. The decking material is Permadeck Deckorators Voyager composite decking, colourway Tundra.

We have been thrilled with the quality of this product. It is totally impervious to staining, and withstands whatever the weather can deliver without any issues. It does not crack or splinter and requires no more attention than an annual clean with a broom or vacuum and a wash down with a hose. The textured surface is totally non-slip which makes it perfect for the pool area. Additionally, this texture gives an authentic wood-grain appearance, but without the attendant worries of regular maintenance and staining that real timber requires.

I love this product. Like all the other synthetic material decks, it is very easy to lay, maintenance free, and incredibly durable. Although this product is not cheap, you are paying future maintenance costs up front as you will never have to touch this deck again! Where it varies from other like products is its textured surface with makes it non-slip, the colour fleck which adds a depth of shading, and the fact that it really does not get too hot in direct sunlight like so many of the other products. I used the light grey boards with the dark grey boards as outer trim - fantastic end result! I was able to mount a laminated glass balustrade on the material on a floating deck as it is very stable in this situation. Great guys and helpful advice in getting the material to the job site. This will be my go to decking material from now on in.
