QBS IT, formerly known as QBS was founded in 2009 By Troy Jury.

Troy is the sole owner of QBS IT, a NZ trade qualified LBP builder with 22 years experience working within all genres of the built environment, specifically in the high end private market.

QBS IT is well known for producing large scale high quality building work, having clean, safe & efficient building sites, and a specific focus on providing a great end to end service to clients.

A company with a modern mindset that has invested in the back end of it's business to ensure that pricing is thorough, clear and detailed. Invoicing is transparent and links back to its pricing for cost tracking which is critical in todays times.

QBS IT project managers have access to all the latest technology around communication of costs, schedules and changes with the key site staff & subcontractors.

Troy believe's it is very important to make sure the company is well marketed in the right way to the public across all social media platforms.

Servicing the greater Auckland area & recently setting up QBS IT North with long time foreman Jayden Weston QBS IT will look to take on work out of Auckland as far north as Whangarei with a seperate tram managed by Jayden.

Their Auckland team consists of 23 full time employed builders, 3 highly experienced project managers who oversee all projects from pricing through to CCC.

QBS IT director Troy Jury produces all construction pricing himself for clients.

QBS IT can regularly be found across Auckland working on heritage projects, architectural new homes and complex renovations.

From 2024 QBS IT will seek to establish a branch in Queenstown servicing QT, Arrowtown, Lakes districts and the greater area with a small team of high specialist high end builders only.

QBS loves to work direct with private clients , Architects and prefers to be engaged as early on in the process as possible to help with build-abilty, review of construction details, construction scheduling and budget creation under the ECI format.

Having made up our mind to contract QBS to build our extension after being recommended by word of mouth Troy came to the party with sound advice apart from the intro to an architect Troy put two good young fellas on the job with Ryan Cowie as site foreman and Matt. These two young guys really busted their butts and went over and above even to the extent of building the internal gutter and supplying the drawings to the architect. Also, all but one of the sub-trades were excellent, to the extent we have used two of them more than once again.

Although it was fairly small project, Troy was happy to take on the job and provided us with a great builder (Geoff) who did an excellent job and finished to a high standard of workmanship. Troy dealt with bathroom suppliers on our behalf when necessary which made for a stress-free experience. Qualified Building Solutions personnel oversaw all tradesmen which ensured all areas were of a very high standard. This included plumbers, painters, tilers, and electricians. I would have no hesitation recommending QBS to anyone planning a reno. The job would have been finished on time if the joinery supplier had not made an error with one of the windows which held the job up for a couple of weeks. Pleasant people to deal with and the job did not go over budget which was much appreciated. I would use them again.

Troy and the team at QBS have delivered exceptional service throughout the renovation. We had to live on site during the build so were conscious of the impact that would have, particularly with the fact we had a 2-year-old. James, Tane, and Billy were so good at accommodating us being on site. They cleaned up the site daily, water blasted the entrance, swept up, and ensured the property was safe and kept to a liveable standard. Their communication was fantastic, they kept us well informed of progress, and provided us with a list of targets at the start of the week and an update of what had been achieved at the end of the week.
Troy kept the project running, meeting with us bi-weekly to ensure the renovation was on time and on budget. Inevitably things changed, but Troy always acted with our best interests at heart. He challenged our architect and protected us from tradesmen that didn’t quite deliver on their promises. Trust between you and your builder is hugely important when embarking on a renovation and Troy certainly appeased our minds.
We’ve already recommended QBS to friends as a high-quality, trustworthy construction company. We’ve heard plenty of horror stories about renovations but ours was smooth sailing from start to finish thanks to a great team at QBS.

Fantastic service! Excellent work from the team at QBS with our job – a full build, converting an empty warehouse to an upmarket fitness facility. Troy was fantastic to deal with as he was honest and open about all aspects of the build. He kept us informed of ongoing changes and progress and steered us in the right direction when trying to bring the costs down without sacrificing the quality of the finished product. He has a great group of tradies working with him who are respectful, on time, and they got the job done fast. This meant we could open our doors to paying clients on time!
Troy is a genuine guy who fronts this company. When we had an issue with the council that was going to potentially derail our whole project, he was understanding and able to accommodate our new time frame. This allowed us to put the project on hold when he would have been entitled to charge us for our delays.
We have nothing but good things to say about the process of dealing with these guys and the final product they produced. They even project managed our job and made the whole process an absolute breeze.
We would highly recommend them if you are looking for a local builder and team that will treat you like a good friend and get the job done to a high standard. We would happily refer friends and family to QBS if they needed a build project taken care of.

We used QBS Ltd to build a large extension to our house (75m2) including kitchen and living room. The team were fantastic – a great bunch of guys, very clean and tidy, and a pleasure to have on site. We changed our scope (added a kitchen) in the middle of the build and Troy and the team were very accommodating. Because we changed the scope, the timeframe blew out a little, but the team still did a great job of getting it completed within a reasonable extended period. The quality of workmanship was great. Troy worked in really well with the subbies we wanted to use, and any time there was an issue with his subbies, he was right on to it.
It’s now 4 months from completion and every little thing that has needed a look at has been addressed by QBS. We are very happy with the result. Thanks Troy and the QBS team!

I contacted several building companies for quotes on my bathroom renovation – 3 came out to quote and the difference in price was vast.
Although I was on a budget, I was also concerned about how long the job would take and that there would be no nasty surprises.
I found Troy to be extremely reliable, he arrived when he said he would, quoted me quickly and explained exactly what would be done. He also offered advice which turned out to be very valuable to me.
Once I had given him the go-ahead, he started the job on time, worked really efficiently, and completed in record time. He kept me informed regarding the extra costs of the unexpected plumbing required, and went out of his way to make sure I was happy with the work.

We decided to use QBS Limited for our house renovation. They were brilliant. In the initial planning phase Troy gave us some great guidance that saved us around $45,000 from what was originally planned. James, the site Foreman, and the QBS builders on site, were amazing to deal with. Nothing was too much to deal with, even catching my runaway dogs, and they were extremely helpful and kept us abreast of what was happening at all times. Throughout the whole project they gave us good sound advice for any problems that we encountered. All the Tradies that Troy organised were really fantastic to work with and all very skilful. The timing of every part of the renovation was organised perfectly, including Tradies on site and delivery of materials.
The whole project ran extremely smoothly, all the Tradies worked together well (no blaming each other or getting in each other’s way). We had access to comprehensive online tracking of both the project costs and the project progress, so no surprises. Any issues along the way were raised with us, discussed thoroughly, and resolved with our full involvement and the best advice.
The project came in just slightly over the original budget but, with the some of the original 1950’s and 1970’s poor building quality to fix up, we came in remarkably close to our original budget (thanks to Troy managing to come in under budget on some of the other parts of the project).
Projects like this are all about the people, and you couldn’t ask for a better qualified, easy to work with, well organised, skilful team lead by Troy and James. Our house has turned out far better than I thought it would and the journey has been fantastic the QBS Limited. I can’t recommend them highly enough. Honest, hard working, friendly, and fun.
