Testimonials

“They arrived on time. They listened to two different briefs (mine and my wife’s … not an easy task). They asked intelligent questions. They offered no instant, arrogant ‘ideas’. They returned after two weeks with a basic design concept which could be adapted in an number of ways. We selected one (with their help and guidance), then they asked three appropriate builders to quote (with our budget in mind). After pushing and pulling and negotiating, they arrived at the preferred one and the right price. After commencement they kept an on-going work sheet and we all – builder included – had weekly meetings to check on progress and on any alterations and/or problems. Every detail was followed through and some work was even redone according to their design and finish standards. The end result is that we are delighted with every aspect of our renovation … we didn’t think it was possible to create such a unique concept with such superb attention to detail, and at the appropriate cost. All of our friends and neighbours have been blown away. We recommend Erik and Joseph to everyone we speak to.”

“Erik was the architect for the renovation of our Victorian Terrace in Paddington, NSW, Australia. He was a pleasure to work with. His design was contemporary and made the best possible use of the space we had available in line with our lifestyle.

Through the construction he managed the contract with the builders excellently, resolving design issues that arose as they inevitably do when working with 125 year old property and ensuring the quality of the contractors work.

I would unreservedly recommend Erik and Joseph.”

“I have now used RAAArchitects on two very different projects and would definitely use them for the next. They are incredibly easy to get along with and we trusted them with the design, all the approvals and the administration during construction. Really a pleasure to deal with and Erik and his team truly care about all parts of the design including details, interior and exterior spaces. The outcomes were better than we could have dreamed, fit with the big picture design concepts discussed in meeting #1 and made the spaces both look good but very liveable. I strongly recommend them.”

Woollahra Apartment

“We have completely fallen in love with our home. Erik transformed our tired old house into an awesomely beautiful and fabulously functional home. Erik was passionate and inspirational and we are have no hesitation in highly recommending him to you. Erik didn’t just design a renovation for us he was able to translate our very sketchy ideas into a warm and stunning renovation. He took us on a journey of discovery. He was always patient, passionate, kind and understanding. Our house renovation presented some challenges, we were very close to the Sydney bush in a high bush fire risk area, our teenage daughters had some strong views on what they would like and we were completely new to renovation. Erik was able to juggle all of this and create a design that we would not have been brave enough to do had it not been for his guidance. It was completely worth it. The house brings the beauty of the bush inside with large windows perfectly positioned. The fire shutters disappear into the house like magic. The large patio and glass doors provide a perfect flow from inside to outside. Our polished concrete floors and counter levered concrete seat are stunning and clever. The high ceilings create a feeling of space and elegance. The mood of the house is amazingly transformed as the sun sets. The lighting in the high vaulted ceilings is warm and sultry. Minimal, stylish lights are positioned perfectly to achieve beautiful reflections on the walls, ceilings and glass. It was not until our first night in the house did we realise the cleverness of Erik’s design with the lighting. We are very glad to have undertaken this journey with Erik and we cannot recommend him more highly… be a little brave, try things a little out of your comfort zone and with Erik’s guidance you will create something beyond your wildest dreams…”

House in Chatswood

“From the outset Erik and Joseph were both professional and down to earth. Our place in Five Dock was in its original state (circa late 1930’s) and we wanted a modern interior while maintaining the exterior. We provided them with a very general brief – focal point of the house should be the kitchen. Erik was able to take this and provided us with a beautiful design that not only met this but also maximised the use of the limited space we had. The end result gave us an indoor-outdoor living space that allows us to open the kitchen and make it part of the garden, with a continuous flow in design and materials. It also gives us an incredible amount of natural light that we love. This was far more than we originally thought we could achieve with our space and budget.

Erik has great knowledge of all materials, is very committed and passionate about all his projects, and was very helpful and hands on in helping us choose our finishes.

Erik and Joseph have wonderful ideas, great taste and were very patient with all our questions (particular being new to renovating a home).

We look forward to working with them on our next project.”

“I engaged Erik Rudolfsson and his team of architects after a competitive design process with three architectural firms to work with me to design a complex redevelopment of my property in Vaucluse. Erik and his team did outstanding conceptual and detailed design work over many months to bring to life my vision for the property. The dedication, commitment to the task, and attention to detail they showed was incredible. They also oversaw the difficult build process, managed the interface with the builder and engineer very well and have continued to be responsive well after the initial project was completed. Erik’s professionalism and depth of knowledge and understanding of the intricate details of real-world construction techniques has been a key component in solving the numerous issues that arose as a matter-of-course during the construction, and in making the project successful. We have now worked together on aspects of this project for over three years and I would not hesitate to give RAAa my highest recommendation.”
