Rich Earth is owned and operated by Matthew Sears who boasts extensive global landscape gardening experience.

With an impressive 15+ years of field experience, Matthew has transformed gardens in Australia, England, Ibiza and France. He has also been involved with the design and builds for the world-renowned Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) and Chelsea Flower Shows.

Born and raised in Sydney, Matthew began his apprenticeship in commercial landscaping, working on the gardens for new builds, estates and high-rise apartments.

When the travel bug bit, Matthew travelled from Sydney to London where he spent 10 years developing his passion for gardens. In London, Matthew collaborated with some of the top garden designers in the world. This level of interaction drove him to hone his skills and inherit impeccably high standards.

Now with a young family and business, Matthew has brought his international experience and knowledge back to Sydney to craft outside spaces his clients once only dared to imagine.

We love designers.
While we offer our own in-house consultation and design service, we LOVE working with external Garden Designers who need a professional team to bring their design to life.

At Rich Earth, our team of skilled landscape craftsmen are passionate about creating outstanding outdoor spaces.

Whether we have designed your garden or we are building a garden from an external designer, we deliver a high standard of work and attention to detail that ensures the design on paper, becomes a reality.

We pride ourselves on being helpful and courteous and as unobtrusive as possible throughout the construction process.

After Care and Maintenance
We provide ongoing aftercare and garden maintenance services to ensure your outside space looks its’ best all year round.

We also gladly service new clients who already love their gardens, but need help keeping on top of things.

We have weekly, monthly or just every now and then garden maintenance packages, to meet your garden needs.
