Rob Blick Building is more than just another building company.
Our team specialise in architectural new builds and domestic renovations utilising the most eco-friendly materials.
We provide you with unrivalled experience and extensive expertise in the trade. Our huge strength is the quality and diverse experience of our team.
Our Managing Director, Rob, has been a builder since completing his apprenticeship at the age of 20. He now has over 25 years’ experience in the trade.
In 2004 alongside his wife Correna, they decided to start their own building company. Together, they have set themselves a high standard of excellence. They have striven to achieve that in the many homes, renovations and construction projects they have built over the years.
Rob Blick Building provides you with the highest quality workmanship and uses only the best professional sub-contractors around.
In 2012, Rob and Correna decided to grow the business and purchased a franchise to carry out pre-purchase property inspections. This business proved to be a great addition. They have inspected thousands of homes to the day and have gained much better insight into the rising failure of homes and leaky buildings.
They have seen first-hand what works and what does not when it comes to building homes.
Rob Blick Building will not build a home that is set to fail. Rob will provide you with honest opinions and feedback. If there are possible areas of weakness in your project, he will promptly question the designer to make sure the issues are addressed at the beginning to avoid future unpleasant surprises.
To achieve the highest standards of workmanship we aim to, we collaborate only with the highest quality professional tradesmen and with a select few trusted sub-contractors. We have worked with this team for many years and have established a high level of mutual trust and understanding.
Our team is comprised of 10 qualified builders, 2 apprentices, an in-house QS, 2 joiners, 1 roofer and our trusted property inspector.
Together we have completed a large variety of projects including some intricate designed architectural builds, high-end home renovations and even some extremely technical projects in remote locations only accessible by helicopter.

HOW WE WORK WITH YOU
14 STEPS BUILD PROCESS
1. Initial meeting
We will come meet you on-site to discuss your ideas and goals for your new home and we will give you more insdiggths on how we can work together.
2. Designing your home
If you do not have an architect yet, we will refer you to one of our trusted and qualified architects with whom you will be able to discuss your project ideas. The architect will work closely with you to design your perfect new home.
3. Before signing the contract
Rob Blick will customise a fix price contract that will include a detailed breakdown of costs, your plan, realistic timelines and other information according to your requirements. We don't want to leave you with unexpected surprises. We guarantee that you will have all the information beforehand.
4. Building Consent
When the design is complete, we will submit it to the local council to obtain permission for starting the construction of your new home.
5. Foundations
We lay foundations; the builders can now start working to bring your new home to life.
6. Framework
The frame of your new home is coming up. Now you can see it taking shape.
7. Start feeling your new home
Once the roof framing and paper are on, you will be able to take a walk around and image what it will be like to live in your new home. You can start envisioning the rooms and their style.
8. Exterior
You begin to see what your house will look like from the outside once the roof, joinery and cladding are set into place.
9. Inside works
We install plumbing, electrical and installation. Your home will be warm, cosy and dry throughout the New Zealand winter.
10. Internal lining
Now the internal lining of the walls and plaster come on. You can envision you and your family living in your new home.
11. Doors and trims
It's time to fit all the doors and trims and your house will be ready for the painter.
12. Kitchen, fitting, fixtures
So exciting! Your new home is almost ready, all the details inside are coming to life.
13. Cleaning and other touches
The house is almost ready! The cleaners are making your home sparkling clean and the council is giving the final sign off. A CCC (Code Compliance Certificate) is also issued.
14. Your new home is ready!
Finally, you and your family can move into your incredible new Rob Blick home.

RENOVATIONS
IS IT TIME TO RENOVATE YOUR HOME?
We understand that it might take some time to decide to renovate your home. If you have been considering renovating your home for a while but have not taken action yet, Rob Blick Building can help you take the big step.
We specialise in domestic renovations, our skilled and qualified team has many years of experience in the trade. We will take great care of you and your home and assure you that we will give you expert advice and recommendation throughout the project.
No renovation work is too small or too big for our team. We are Licensed Building Practitioners, which means we are allowed to carry out or supervise Restricted Building Works (RBW), such as works to floors, walls and roofs.
You can be sure we will renovate your home to the highest standards.
