Over the last year, Hugh and his team have brought our family dreams to life, building our dream home in Muriwai.

The process: Hugh is a great communicator. We felt informed the whole way through. Feedback from subcontractors is that Hugh is organised, communicates well, plans well ahead and is efficient. We really enjoyed the process of our build.

The product: Hugh's eye for detail and standard of quality are exceptional. On many design decisions I deferred to him with what became a common - "What would you do if it were your house?" - invariably, Hugh's suggestion was the right choice. The final product is a testament to Hugh's focus on quality and the pride he takes in his work.

The price: Hugh was transparent the whole way through with costs. We always knew where we were tracking, and we ended up bang on budget. Changes were identified early and Hugh would help us understand the cost impact associated with them before proceeding. At all times, Hugh was fair and transparent.

Overall: I would highly recommend Hugh and Salt Construction for any build project, but particularly if you want a high end finish and an enjoyable process.

We used Hugh and his guys to do a full-scale renovation on our family home. Hugh and his expertise were invaluable to our renovation. There were  many parts to our renovation he guided us through and added his advice where I was at a loss of what to do. I could give him a pinterest image, and he would make it come to life. His guys were kind, curtious and respectful to have around. Hugh and his guys always turned up when they said they would. His contractors were reliable, and Hugh was excellent at sticking to our budget.

We would absolutely use Salt Construction again and I would have no problems highly recommending them to anyone building or renovating.

Thanks again, Hanna and Boet Vermeulen

Hugh and his team at Salt Construction were exceptional – their efficiency, honesty, and hard work resulted in our renovation and extension being delivered on time with outstanding quality. I highly recommend them for their reliable and high-quality building services.

With unwavering commitment and flexibility they worked closely with me on the initial design, build and finish of my new equestrian facility. Each part of the build process was clearly communicated and I was consulted with open dialogue and utmost professionalism at each stage. The equestrian sensibility possessed by Eloise guides the functionality of each area; Hugh’s extensive knowledge and expert approach to construction leaves us with an exceptional structure that I know we will enjoy for many years to come.

For Bee and myself a "new build" was met with a lot of emotions.

Excitement as we  finally had the opportunity to design a building to our needs and requirements, being the dream for nearly 20 years.

It was also met with a sense of the unknown, building requirements and more importantly what it would cost.

Hugh from Salt was great! not only did he offer us a fixed price for our new build but his work ethic was amazing and workmanship exceeded our expectations.

With clear communication, and direction Hugh made our building experience easy,  we completely trusted his judgement and guidance with an end result that we are so delighted with. We would not hesitate in recommending Salt Construction to anyone who is looking at building.

Hugh has been our preferred builder for many years now, we find him to be reliable, helpful, always available to talk and fair. He always makes time to help us with our building projects, both big and small.

Hugh & Eloise were excellent to deal with in all respects. Importantly, they were great communicators as the project progressed always alerting us to issues early and suggesting solutions. Came in on time and on budget, highly recommend

perfect balance of quality, price and delivery (+ awesome comms throughout the project).
