Shift Group

Shift Group originated in 2018 from a collective of emergency service shift workers seeking part-time work to supplement their income. Initially serving as a brokerage, we connected skilled tradespeople from within the emergency services to both residential and commercial clients. Recognizing the demand for a more streamlined and efficient approach, we transitioned into a project management-based model, bringing together a diverse range of trades within our network.

In response to the evolving needs of our clients, we swiftly adapted to handle tasks that required multiple trades. Leveraging our network of skilled professionals, we were able to coordinate and complete projects more efficiently than larger, less specialised groups. Around mid 2021 as our client base expanded and our reputation for reliable service grew, we saw the potential to transform Shift Group into a full-time venture.

This growth led to the establishment of a dedicated in-house team of builders, complemented by our extended network of trustworthy tradespeople. Today, Shift Group stands as a curated collection of top-tier tradespeople spanning various fields. Our commitment to quality service remains unwavering, and we ensure our clients have a single point of contact for a seamless experience.

Project Management

New Builds
We pair project managers with experience in delivering high volume builds with builders and tradesman with experience in high end architectural homes. 

We believe this approach extracts the best out of our builders who have a commitment to quality and our project managers who understand the importance of scheduling and budgeting. 

Our versatile method is applicable to a variety of projects, and we have a proven track record of successfully delivering medium density townhouses, standalone builds, and bespoke architectural homes. 

Renovations and Extensions
We understand the importance of getting an extension right. Renovations and extensions can turn into a costly exercise if not managed well, and often cause disruption to the main house while work is being done. We work alongside you from the outset to ensure the project is carefully planned to minimise disruption while accounting for potential challenges throughout the project. 

Our comprehensive services cover all phases of the project - from initial planning and quantity surveying to subcontractor engagement, construction, and final handover. We maintain rigorous oversight throughout the process to ensure smooth progress and adherence to timeline and budgets. After completion, we continue to provide support with a follow up to address any immediate concerns, and our maintenance builders are available to rectify and issues, ensuring lasting satisfaction with the work completed.

Property Maintenance
We have a dedicated team of builders and handymen that can provide a range of property maintenance services for commercial and residential properties. Providing a range of services from general repairs to full contract refurbishments. 

Building Inspections and Reports
We provide comprehensive building condition reports for a range of clients including government agencies. Our reports assist with CAPEX forecasting and strategic investment planning over the lifecycle of a building.
