Backflow Prevention Systems
The water supply system is designed to ensure that water flows to your property under pressure. If there is a pressure drop in the water main, a vacuum could be created in this system, which under certain conditions could siphon liquid from a contaminated source back into the drinking water supply.

This can be a risk to public health. Water pressure can be affected when: There is a break in the water main Water is being pumped from the main water supply during a fire A customer is using water at a higher pressure than the pressure supplied Heavy water use downstream reduces water pressure upstream The water outlet at the property is higher than the water main, causing constant backpressure.

Central heating heats the whole house using warm water circulating through pipes, carrying heat around the home. Our systems have four major components:

1. Heat Source – Usually this is a diesel or gas boiler, or heat pump. This can be placed in a convenient location like the laundry, garage or externally.
2. Distribution – Water, warmed by the heat source, is distributed around the home through insulated pipes.
3. Radiators – Safe, wall mounted heat emitters, usually in every room, capable of heating up and cooling down quickly.
4. Control – Most systems have a wall-mounted thermostat. A thermostat monitors the room temperature and switches the heat source off when it’s warm enough, then turns it back on again if the room temperature drops.
