The first builder we went with was a huge disaster, he got as far as frame stage which we ended up having to completely demolish back to the slab. For many years we have worked on concepts and designs of what our new house, nestled in the heart of the rainforest in Noosa might look like. As a family based in Melbourne, we have an extensive portfolio of houses we have built. We have cultivated a love of home life, developing beautiful, sophisticated liveable spaces. Together with award-winning Melbourne based architect Warren Foster and Interiors by Mim Design, we had finally put together the perfect brief and plans for our new home. The difficult part of the equation was to now find a suitable builder that could execute the project to the level of detail that we have already become accustomed to. This would have to be managed very differently to any other project as the residence and builder would be around 1800 km away – so site visits would be few and far between.
