Mitch Agnew was the lead builder on our 1920’s bungalow renovation and rebuild in Northcote Point which was completed in 2023.

The project involved an architectural level specification and the recreation of all the original character bungalow details while seamlessly integrating modern interiors in the living area extensions. Mitch was in charge of the build and meticulously planned all the complex parts of the project whilst taking a hands-on approach leading and working with a team of up to 6 builders on site. He liaised with and organised material suppliers, sub-contractors, design consultants, council representatives, and ourselves to ensure all aspects of the build were co-ordinated and completed as expected. Mitch’s communication was always clear and open and any issues front-footed with solutions rather than raised as problems. It is clear that Mitch has a passion for the projects he is working on and undertakes all his work as though they were his own home. Our project was completed on time and within budget, no small feat given the labour and material shortage following the COVID lockdowns.

We would absolutely recommend Mitch and would not hesitate in using him again should we ever re-build.

Mitchell project managed and built our new home in June 2020, the build being successfully completed in April 2021. It is a testament to both Mitchell and his team that this project came in on time, on budget, whilst dealing with covid lockdowns.

The level of craftsmanship as indicated by the photos on the website speaks for itself; of note the attention to detail around the double height panelled ceilings, challenging angle of the atrium and exterior cedar cladding.

An ability to relate to and forge relationships with council, sub-contractors, and other parties relevant to the build made for a seamless client experience. Throughout the project we were consistently kept informed/updated of all matters pertaining to the build. Clever suggestions to improve on design and keep costs to a minimum were an unexpected bonus.
