What is the difference between plastering and rendering?

While plastering and rendering are both terms that refer to the covering of walls, plasterers will work on interior walls while renderers carry out exterior plastering, The materials are generally consistent, being cement, sand, water and lime gypsum, however rendering will have a greater level of cement for added strength that is not required for internal wall and ceiling plastering.
