Proform Homes formerly Proform Construction and Management Ltd is a family business owned and operated by Colin and Angela Carmichael. 

Colin is the fourth generation of Carmichael to live in Tauranga since the Carmichaels came to New Zealand from Scotland in the late 19th century.

The Gordon Carmichael Reserve is the Carmichaels family land named after Colins Grandfather. Colin use to milk cows on the land now known as Ryman Health, Mayfield and St Michaels. Due to the early mornings and Xmas day milking Colin didn’t want to follow in his father’s footsteps so became a cabinet maker. 

Colin’s passion was always building. After a stint in the UK carrying out Carpentry for the London Underground Colin returned and started Proform.

First as a sole trader in 2003 then Limited company in 2007. Proform has gone from 2 staff members to more than 20 including sub-contractors.
