Our opportunity was to contribute to reestablishing the hospitality precinct in Christchurch’s inner city. Our design driver, to offer a refreshing social environment, inspired by the spirit and charm of the Amazon. Alongside our client, we were energised by this new beginning, a refreshing paradise located by the Avon River. The path was to create a truly sensory experience through the concept of a tropically inspired bar. With this, a fun and lively approach to form spaces that had individual functions, yet overlaid and encompassed each other through the layering of form and materials.
