Redevelopment of the historic Austral Hotel in Colac, Victoria, enhancing the bar and dining areas while preserving original textures and improving natural light and circulation.
A historic old regional Victorian pub located in Otway area of Colac.
The redevelopment proposes additions and alterations the existing old local gem. The main southern section of the existing hotel where the bar and dining are located is revitalised into a comfortable contemporary food and beverage experience.
It captures and embraces the old pub with its existing textures of woods, bricks and glass and adds to the experience by opening the pub to daylight/ improved circulation, new joinery and textures.
