Busselton Hockey upgrade to the latest LED sports lighting technology. With a simple tap on the Lumosa phone app, night became day! The new TigerTurf Lumosa LED lights on the Busselton Hockey Association pitch gives the club the best playing conditions in any light conditions. The players are over the moon.
Lumosa turns light into day.
TigerTurf’s new Lumosa LED lights at the Busselton Hockey Association pitch emit a bright, white light transforming poor light, even total darkness, into daylight. The penetrating, white light spreads evenly across the field, minimising light spill beyond the boundaries and limiting the LED illumination for neighbours. The new Lumosa lights give players the clear vision they need to avoid injury and the confidence to execute difficult moves.
Lumosa LED sports lights offer touch functionality remotely.
It took only four days for TigerTurf to replace the existing metal halide lamps with 24 LED lights at the Busselton turf. The lights were tested and yield the minimum requirement of 500 lux for safe playing conditions.
Lumosa LED Lighting:
For cost effective, long life illumination of indoor and outdoor sports and playing areas, ask for Lumosa Touch LED sports lights. Where traditional lighting displays yellow and uneven lighting, LED lighting can display fine bright white light on the entire field at a uniform intensity. This closely resembles natural daylight, making it easier to observe colors and movements, which in turn significantly enhances the gameplay.
The Lumosa Lights increases in efficiency as the LED light responds instantly.
The installation of the new lights and cables included the set-up of the Lumosa Touch functionality, which enables the hockey manager to control the lights from anywhere, at any time by using a mobile phone App.
The instant “on and off” power of the LED lights is another advantage for those managing the timing of the lights.
Sports players and supporters love Lumosa LED sports lighting.
Feedback from the players regarding the many benefits of the new Lumosa LED lighting at the pitch has been enthusiastic: “Even on training mode, our hockey pitch lights are brighter than ever before.
The whiter, brighter light has made a huge difference to our game and improved the game for the referees and supporters too.”

We still make almost all of our products in our Auckland factory, with materials manufactured by our parent company, TenCate Grass. Local manufacturing means that we can ensure quality is maintained throughout the process.

- Quality and Innovation
We control the quality and performance of every synthetic turf system we create, in our own factory, at every step of the production process. We control where and how our yarns are extruded. We control which products go into our fibres. We develop and manufacture our own backing cloths. We develop, manufacture and build the performance bases that we lay our turf systems over. And finally, we can recycle our old, end-of-life products into new, start-of-life products.
