“We want this area to really stand out” was the brief from the Dominion Road Business Association. The Dominion Road Balmoral business precinct needed a lift and Deco Light was engaged to provide the inspiration.

Two large overheads run across Dominion Road, each featuring 240 large DMX Festoon Lights. These overheads can display a huge range of colours and effects as each light is individually controlled.

The historic Capitol Cinema facade is washed with coloured light from over 50 luminares, each focussed on the intricate features of the facade. Contrasting colours can totally change the look of the building for different seasons and celebrations.

Festoon Lighting along the parapet, gutter line and under the entrance canopy results in the classic “Hollywood Cinema” look, except these festoons can display colours and effects.

The entire installation is coordinated by a centralised control system. A range of Scenes can be selected with synchronised effects running through the overheads, across the wash-lit facade and through the festoons. Scene selection and control is online via a Deco Light Spira IoT Controller; control can be from a browser or Smartphone App. The result is a mesmerising lighting display that really “makes the area stand out”.

  5. Christmas Trees and Motifs. Trees of any size, walk-though Christmas Baubles, 2D or 3D Motifs – enhanced with controlled colour changing LED lighting
  6. Pixel Facade Lighting and Signage. Add the wow factor to any building facade with our media pixel technology.

Robust rubber-insulated cable, high output LEDs, top quality power supplies, stainless steel rigging hardware etc. We do not promise to be the cheapest – quality has a price – but we will always deliver the best value for money.
  2. Longevity. Our products are designed to last and not end up in the landfill after only a year or two. We avoid anything that cannot be maintained throughout its serviceable lifetime.
  3. Transparency. Our pricing breakdown will show you what you will get for your project. If we use less product to achieve the project result, the price will reduce accordingly.

  4. Control the Town Centre lighting with coordinated effects moving up and down the street
  5. Remotely set colours and effects to reflect world events
  6. Monitor the installation ensure it is working, with alarm reporting of any issues.
