Student accommodation with flair. ECOTONE was approached to simulate Corten steel on precast cladding, along with various other colour tones. We worked closely with the architects and concrete manufacturer to realise their vision. A collaboration that has resulted in a striking piece of architecture on the Auckland landscape.

  "We have worked with ECOTONE on a number of projects to date, and were very pleased to get them involved in CPSV3 at an early stage.  For this project, we had conceived the idea of using a Corten façade system, but were very hesitant to use actual Corten given its inherent peripheral staining issues and how to control a high aesthetic level for a long period of time.  We looked at a number of systems, all of which came with their own problems until we spoke with ECOTONE.  Their system was applied easily, had very good durability properties and very low maintenance requirements.  The problem of getting the look we wanted was resolved very painlessly by ECOTONE preparing very large scale samples, and then listening to what we liked and did not like to formulate exactly what we were looking for.
