Case Study: Fence & Gate Shop, Silverdale

Fence and Gate Shop are one of our neighbours here in the Silverdale Industrial Estate, just north of Auckland.
They wanted to walk the talk, tapping into renewable energy to reduce their power bill and company’s carbon footprint.

We worked in closely with their team to determine the power usage of this busy commercial warehouse.

The system was designed and estimated to produce approx. 38254kWh per year.

75% of this was to be self consumed (energy utilised as the panels generated power, from the sun, during the day-time) and the 25% remainder would be exported back to the grid.

As this is an asset, tax depreciation on the system could also be factored in over the life-time of the system.

We quoted premium equipment which has the advantages of higher power output and longer warranties.

The inverter, racking and Solarcraft labour have 10 year warranties. The panels have 25 year performance and material warranties, which is great as they do most of the work!
