DCM Urban Design completed the Central Campus Landscape Improvements project for the University of Otago. Working with Jacobs, Calibre and Mike Moore Landscape Architects, we worked on concept plans, detailed design documents, and oversaw the construction works within the central area of the Dunedin campus this area contains and borders some of New Zealand's most iconic university buildings and spaces. 

Our team worked hard to ensure the successful installation of extensive areas of paving, the improvement of accessibility through the campus, and the planting of over 5,000 native and exotic plants in a mix of rain gardens and planters. In addition, detailed landscape concept plans and illustrations were produced with the assistance of University staff to gain approval from the University Council. 

We are incredibly proud to have been a part of such an important project, with a total budget of 9 million, and are humbled by the trust that was placed in us. The project was completed at the start of 2017, and we are proud of the impact it has had in improving the University of Otago landscape.
