Located in Thirroul, New South Wales the Coastal Cottage’s Federation architectural style was central to interior designer Caroline Jolly’s vision, honouring the design of this era throughout the project. The original cottage-style façade of this eclectic home has been lovingly renovated with a contemporary extension. Caroline’s challenge was to create inviting interiors that unfold to reveal a harmonious blend of old and new.
Iver’s Sarlat and Helsinki collections are a perfect pairing for this Coastal Cottage as they artfully combine the timeless appeal of a traditional heritage home, with a more contemporary fresh design.
Helsinki cabinet pulls provide character and functionality to the custom wardrobes in the bedrooms, with its distinct industrial accent featured on the bar pulls, enhancing the minimalist design. The bedroom doors are lovingly restored and adorned with the Sarlat lever on round rose, blending modern beauty and timeless appeal with its classic fluted shape, ornamental ring detail and a decorative tip.
The Sarlat pull handle and ring knocker delivers elegance on the duck-egg blue front door, with fluted contours and ornamental detail reflecting the Federation heritage style of the home.
Signature brass finish for the hardware was a considered choice, and used throughout the home, adding warmth to the earthy ecru palette whilst tying in with the antique brass lighting in the bedroom and at the front of the home, creating complementary spaces throughout.
