Room to move

The owners of this home enjoy spending time entertaining.  They wanted a space that could cater to their flair for hosting as wellas their love of intimate dining for two.  So this kitchen was born, and it is the perfect size for the couple with plenty of room for guests. The island makes foa focal meeting point, with the subtle detail on the front adding interest without overwhelming the space.  A corian charging station was also incorporated into the island for extra convenience, and under-bench seating is ample to again cater for entertaining. Integrated appliances and streamlined joinery make this room feel like a place to gather instead of a room to cook in.  Even the sink maintains that cohesive feel, made from Corian, just like the benchtops. The dark back wall of cabinetry contrasts beautifully against the white of the island, but the room receives ample light thanks to its positioning near the outdoor area and the fabulous window splashback over the hob section.   Designer:  Trudi Rabbitte
