By Trinity Interior Design
This majestic 1915 villa in the heart of Devonport caught the eye of our client Helen Jacob's whilst here on holiday from the UK. To create their second home when visiting NZ, the interior and layout of the house had to change. This was the start of an extensive renovation which saw the house stripped right back internal framing which uncovered hidden issues and set the team challenges to overcome.
The result however is sophisticated but compliments the era of the home and our client's lifestyle. Trinity was involved in all aspects of the design including the finishes and fittings, detailed cabinetry and bathroom design, design and sourcing of customised furniture pieces and accessories and artwork.
We also managed the procurement of all items, co-ordinated with the builder, North Shore Construction, and architect, Fraser Gillies, throughout and staged the furniture for the arrival of the client's first visit to see the end result.
The whole process was done remotely with the client being based in the UK and making only 2 visits to NZ during the design and construction phase of the project.
'Quite honestly what Trinity managed to achieve in the timeline that we had was astounding. Their ability to grasp the brief, knowledge of manufacturers and artisans and the creativity and efficiency of the team made this huge project of ours achievable. They worked extremely well with the architect and building team we had in place. We were absolutely delighted with the beautifully furnished home that I walked into 4 months after walking out of a house that had been stripped to it's bare bones. The more time we spend in our Devonport home, the more we love it'
