By Tracey Ower Landscape Architects Ltd
Nestled above the clifftop walkway this garden has stunning views out to the Lyttelton heads. Several different outdoor spaces have been created to offer shelter depending on the weather of the day - a sheltered courtyard extends out from the dining room and captures all the lunchtime and afternoon sun. A morning space out from the kitchen connects to the small vegetable garden below.
Working together with people and the land to create a sense of place which resonates with those who live, work or play there. Creating unique spaces to enjoy, relax, reflect, learn, play in; that listen to and embrace the land and its stories - that is what we love doing.
Tracey Ower is a Registered Landscape Architect based in the dynamic environment of Whakaraupō/Lyttelton Harbour and working both in Christchurch and throughout the South Island, this landscape firm of more than 30 years has been involved with many wonderful projects.
From private residences both large and very small, to subdivisions, commercial properties, churches, cultural facilities, retirement homes, public parks and schools - each one has its own character and design considerations which make it unique. We are committed to design excellence and successful outcomes through a collaborative approach with the client and all other stakeholders such as iwi, architects, planners, councils, contractors and local or school communities.
