Timeless, elegant, modern. This Kerikeri residence is a superb mix of architectural ideas brought together to create a home that will look great for years to come.
Corbelled brick is not a cladding we see a lot of nowadays, it was a style that faded in then out back in the 1900s and is often associated with not-so-amazing red brick from that era. However, use a modern brick and paint it white, it’s nothing less than stunning.
The charcoal shingle roof, dark downpipes, dark garage door and dark joinery create a pleasant contrast with the white brick, giving the home enough ‘dark’ to look great at all times of the day.
Two gables face the road, the apex’s clad with decorative dark brown cedar fixed to a dark background paint. Large trees give the house a pleasant setting with soft landscaping around the perimeter adding to the homely feel.
The kitchen, bar & cabinetry, designed, built and installed by Kitchens by Wooddesign are very minimalist with integrated appliances and white push to open cabinetry.
