International accounting firm EY made their move back to Christchurch’s CBD after being displaced from their previous office due to the earthquakes of 2011.
The EY Christchurch team service a variety of clients, including several rural clients, and are very dedicated to the local Canterbury area. This sparked Cachet’s concept of ‘strengthen global, empower local’.
To bring the concept to life we used many locally sourced products, such as the Timaru bluestone tiles in the front of house and kitchen area and natural timbers throughout the space. The grid effect in the carpet design reflects the view of the Canterbury Plains as you fly over.
A much-loved feature in EY’s previous space was a fireplace in the reception area, so we included a fireplace in the design to create a homely, warm ambience in the front of house. With views of the Bridge of Remembrance, Christchurch city and the Port Hills, this is a great space for staff to gather and spend time in.
Cachet is a leading commercial design and construct provider offering full lifecycle partnerships for clients across Australia, New Zealand, and APAC. We are data led to design personalised, meaningful spaces that are delivered and maintained by one dedicated team. Helping brands and their people reach their full potential, now and into the future.
