The client’s vision on this new build was to make the house look like it had been there a long time and the use of white painted bricks and timber flooring helped achieve this.
The white linen curtains throughout the house were kept in the background, with the wallpapers carrying the spaces and making big statements.
On the landing, we used old English chenille draught stoppers, which we added antique French gold metal braid to, sourced by the client. In the bedroom we used French flour mill bags and created all the bedding.
Structurally, all the headings in the curtains were loose and relaxed. Rods were washed with an antique brushed finish.
The objective of this project was to bring in texture and colour with the fabrics chosen for the bedding, throws, upholstery and cushions.
