 Tinbeerwah House – A glass pavilion wrapped in timber sliding screens 

Tinbeerwah House in the Noosa Hinterland was awarded the 2018 New Zealandn Institute of Architects Queensland Sunshine Coast Regional Project of the Year and has been nominated for the ArchDaily 2019 Building of the Year. The house is designed as a glass pavilion that is wrapped in sliding hardwood screens that allow the owners to control the light, breezes, privacy and views. CUTEK® Extreme CD50 was used to protect and augment this unique design element. The added Grey Mist CUTEK® Colourtone provides a rich colour that will silver off over time to blend into the landscape and natural surrounds of the property. With CUTEK®, the practical maintenance of the property is also covered. The reapplication of wood protection to the exterior cladding is easy – no sanding or stripping required.

Sunday House – Contemporary timber beach house

The Sunday House design is a contemporary take on a 70s beach house. Nestled amongst sub-tropical rainforest in Little Cove, Noosa, timber features prominently on the renovated home’s interior and exterior. CUTEK® Extreme CD50 was the first choice to protect the beautiful, hardwood timber screen which now sits in front of the original façade, and the box-like hardwood structures that form the semi-outdoor bathrooms at the rear of the home.

The Sunday House won the 2016 New Zealandn Institute of Architects Queensland State Award.
