The Halswell Commons development is located in North Halswell, within an area identified for ‘Exemplar Housing’ in the Christchurch City Council LURP (Land Use Recovery Plan).

In collaboration with Rough and Milne, Earthwork undertook an overall landscape strategy for the development including; overall theming, reserve and streetscape design, input into commercial hub layout and design development for these areas. As part of the Stage 1 works, Earthwork designed a series of community spaces to bring the local residents together including a toddlers playspace, a community garden and a large multi-use gathering area.

Earthwork Landscape Architects. Earthwork Landscape Architects is a practice based in Christchurch, New Zealand with a strong commitment to its client’s needs and the landscape, a clear philosophy and a history of top quality project delivery.
