Anouk & Co was engaged to design a unique interior for Kathmandu Momo, a Nepalese restaurant located in Surfers Paradise.

To develop the interior design concept, our design team were inspired by hotel bars in Manhattan and Singapore. The design is moody and sophisticated, featuring terracotta tones, bronze, stucco, antique mirrors, and rattan.

We located the bar at the rear of the restaurant to bring people in. The bar, cladded in terracotta hued tiles and topped with marble. The feature bronze scalloped ceilings adorns the bar and adds a reflective dimension to the space. Behind the bar, the ceilings extend into an arched bar display elevating the theatrics. Upholstered banquette seating with black timber elements brings a sense of sophistication. Moody lighting, polished concrete floors and black detailing contrasts the warm, polished space.
