The brief was to create a contemporary home on a small rear section to accommodate a professional couple. With only 355m2 of land available to work with due to easements and tricky height recessions, a compact creative layout was required. Sun and views were a priority in the design, but this had to be balanced with privacy in a dense urban setting.
The resulting design provides a compact, warm & contemporary home that focuses on good passive design principals, provides privacy in a high-density area while providing superior views to the surrounding area.
