Lumière Lodge, nestled in a glorious, tree-lined street in beautiful Hobart, is truly whimsical. When we at Tilesofezra heard about the exciting project, featuring influence from Sarah Andrews of Captain’s Rest, we just knew this would be one of those special projects that stick out from the rest.

We are constantly educating our Tilesofezra Tribe about the character a handmade tile can bring to a space; Lumière Lodge is a testament to this. The natural variation in these tiles is mesmerizing, bringing life, soul, and texture into the home.

There's something about a pink bathroom that really excites us... Add some pink zellige tiles into the equation and you no doubt have a winner. How pretty is this bathroom space? We are obsessed with the restored, stained-glass window.

How cosy and gorgeous is this fireplace and seating area? We spy with our little eyes zellige in the fireplace. Zellige tiles are perfectly suited to fireplaces, underfloor heating, and more. These tiles are made in kilns that reach thousands of degrees so you can rest assured heat is no problem.

We spoke with the lovely Kerran about her experience dealing with Tilesofezra. This is what she had to say...
“I came across the Zellige Tile on Pinterest and fell in love with the uniqueness of each tile… the colour variations and how you could use these tiles in modern and old homes. They are utterly gorgeous and my favourite.
I googled this tile for sourcing within Australia and came across Tiles of Ezra. I was able to order samples of each colour and they were sent quickly. The website is thoughtfully laid out and easily supports decision-making in the design process. I got in touch with the Tiles of Ezra team and they were so lovely and supportive.
Within a few months we had gorgeous handmade Moroccan Zellige Tiles shipped to our door in Tasmania… the first of their kind in this part of the world I am sure!

Tiles of Ezra is a bespoke tile studio specialising in handmade tiles from around the world. We pride ourselves on providing premium, high-quality Zellige that is 100% handmade by skilled artisans using age-old techniques handed down from generation to generation. We honour the sustainability of craftsmanship and support fair trade while bringing unique and authentic tile solutions into Australian design.
Unable to find a tile range that would facilitate many projects in Australia for her interior design for STUDIOEZRA, Georgia Ezra, director and creator of Tiles of Ezra, decided to take matters into her own hands. As an interior designer* whose signature style includes exotic cultural references, it was imperative to find an authentic, high-quality product.
Her search for unique, ethnic tiling, turned into a creative project and the foundation for Tiles of Ezra was born. A treasure hunter and market-maven at heart, Georgia searched the globe for inspiration and resources, creating partnerships and relationships with teams from Morocco,Vietnam and Mexico who specialise in producing authentic sustainable and handmade tile products.
*Georgia Completed a four-year Bachelor of Interior Architecture at UNSW in Sydney, finishing with first degree honours

Merging Georgia’s experience in contemporary design and instinct for trend, with the group’s traditional handicraft abilities, proved a magical combination. The highly-skilled team of makers embarked on manufacturing a collection of unique modern designs in addition to many ethnic classics.
‘Tiles of Ezra’ is proud to share these designs with you because they are a labour of love not only for us but for our wonderful makers.
We have brought these tiles to Australia, in order to expand the platform of this style of interior fabrication. We hope that you too will reap the enjoyment of such vivacious, exotic creations within your own space.
