Manakish Restaurant

Having grown up in Lebanon, Food is an integral part of our culture. Opening a bakery restaurant was a labor of love and an adventure that we took with very close friends. The design was inspired by the old Middle Eastern screen -the Moucharabieh and a tribal theme. These inspirations were implemented through a contemporary context. The recycled timber resourced from local suppliers on the long bar was positioned in an uneven 3D look. Along the diagonal position of the bar, it created a dynamic energy that draws people in and creates better seating areas in a long narrow commercial space.
