Tucked into a sloping piece of land with no other dwellings or roads in sight, this unique Pirongia home captures its serene surroundings from every angle. Overlooking the Mangapiko stream on the northern side, and capturing the mountain sunsets on the western side, the long single-level house frames vignettes in dynamic view.
With a natural and strong material palette of cedar, steel and concrete, and roofline slopes referencing the contours of the land, the elegant home sits beautifully in the rural setting. Attention to detail and careful collaboration between the client, architects and builders Mackay Construction, have resulted in a stunning and distinctive family home.
