Matangi

This wall to wall internal renovation and small extension took 13 weeks to complete. It included:

·       Extended existing downstairs floor plan by 2m and extended the 2 existing bedrooms to include built in wardrobes

·       Extended the master suite to push out over the downstairs extension below.  A new bathroom, walk in wardrobe and built-in bed head unit completed this extension

·       Flooring and carpet redone through entire house.

·       Entire inside house repainted and re-curtained

·       Double glazing throughout.

·        2nd hot water cylinder put upstairs for master bathroom.

·       All switches fitted with new face plates

·       Laundry re-modelled to include built in storage.

·       Built in cupboards were added to the Garage

·       Downstairs and existing upstairs bathrooms renovated.

·       Pool repair and refurbish

The Client was on site for most of the build due to schools having Covid restrictions. As a result, our team were treated daily to homemade toasties, wraps or pizza, cakes and muffins or donuts. They didn’t want to leave!

Despite the build being in the midst of Covid 2021, it ran smoothly as we worked with the clients to purchase the majority of the materials which were on-site prior to the build commencing. On the occasions when the team required product, our client was able to make this happen by jumping in a truck and going to pick up the product herself. Overall it was a fantastic collaboration and a dream result.

Shout out to Gary at Acorn ITM for thinking out of the box and supporting our team to get the job done. He sourced the board and batten and got it milled especially to match the exiting cladding. He got lots of sausage rolls and treats for being a good person. What a great New Zealander, Cheers Gary!
