The Melbourne Cricket Ground, or The ‘G, is currently undergoing an extensive refurbishment to enhance its iconic status. As the largest stadium in the Southern Hemisphere with waitlists spanning up to 20 years, it is a true Australian icon.

That Metal Company is proud to have been a part of this project, featuring our products in several newly refurbished dining spaces including the Tom Willis Room, the AFL Legends Room, Lucy Liu Ponsford Lounge and the Corporate Suite Check-in Desk.

Highlights of our #910 Satin Gold Aluminium decorative metal laminate has transformed functional eating areas into sophisticated dining spaces. Our laminates, available in sheet form with dimensions of 2440 x 1220mm and 3050 x 1220mm, are incredibly thin at only 0.6mm.

This allows for easy and affordable luxury in design. Joiners and cabinet makers can seamlessly work with our metals using wood-working tools, making installation a breeze.

From custom booths and seating to kickers, wall panelling, plinths, bends, curves, and signage, our Decorative Metal laminates have been utilised throughout the MCG refurbishments. Additionally, our Sustainably Certified Class 1 Fire Rated metals can be used for splashbacks, range hoods, and even bespoke pieces like the gorgeous POS counter at the Trenery Brighton store.

At That Metal Company, we collaborate with you and your design to provide the best solutions for application, longevity, and budget. Whether you are looking for decorative metal laminates or liquid metal solution, we are here to offer our expertise and ensure your vision becomes a reality.
