ArchiPro Project Summary - Merit Stone Showroom: A Melbourne-based stone supplier's innovative showroom and warehouse, designed to showcase the versatility of natural stone through a gallery-like space, featuring a continuous 'M' motif in sculptural elements that soften the material's inherent coldness.

Merit Stone is a Melbourne-based stone supplier. The client wanted to create a showroom and warehouse that would showcase the potential of natural stone in different applications and a brief was established to create a gallery space, much like an exhibition, to display and exhibit the various possibilities of natural stone. A continuous theme of an abstraction of the logo 'M' was used in the design, from the exterior facade to the interior feature wall and reception table. The motif was translated into different sculptural elements using different stones to transform what is usually seen as a cold material into a soft and moldable medium.
