The Balwyn Residence is a courtyard house designed for a client who enjoys tea. A dedicated tea room with custom-designed furnishings is placed adjacent to the courtyard to create a sense of calm and tranquility during the act of tea drinking. Two courtyards offers light and connection with nature from each room, creating a fluid internal circulation that weaves between the internal and external spaces.
