Nestled on the cliffs overlooking Mission Bay, this Spatial Interior Design project was a dream to work on. With sweeping views of the Waitemata Harbour, the brief was to create a seamless flow from the contemporary indoor living to the stunning outdoor pool area. In collaboration with Architect Brian Cullen interiors were designed by Jennie from Dunlop Design. The result earned them a Highly Commended from Trends International in the New Homes Category for 2019.

Among Jennie's favourite interior design elements was the selection of an elegant statement ECC chandelier in crystal and gold, which creates a central focus of the open-plan living area. Suspended above, a three-meter-long dining table from Bradfords with leather dining chairs from Ultimate Living completed the setting.

In the kitchen, a gorgeous stone quartz granite SCE Stone and Design benchtop is lit by three beautiful pendants from Light Plan Parnell. Ensuring that the Seaview is never far away, a standout feature was the clever use of Rangitoto's reflection in the kitchen splashback.

Featured in Trends Magazine, striking design features were noted by Paul Taylor in the bathroom. Notably, the concealed LED lighting fives a warmth of light to illuminate the coolness of the tiles.

"Properties like this cliff-front coasted Mission Bay home are a joy for any interior design professional. But the tick of making the space work best is carefully visualising the indoor-outdoor flow. Brining the colour and textures of nature inside and introducing a touch of glamour is always a great place to start." says Jennie.
