Town Square, Pukekohe. A greater sense of destination and inclusiveness.

Reset Urban Design and Auckland Transport along with the Pukekohe Working Party have recently completed the upgrade of Pukekohe Town Square. Located in the heart of Pukekohe, the town square is a key civic plaza and was developed as space which delivers a greater range of social activation including large gatherings, seasonal events, children’s play and more inviting spaces for sitting and eating.

The new town square has a centralised pedestrian promenade which is adaptable for large public events, children’s play space, seating and lawn area with an integrated water feature and a covered public stage, theatrical style lighting columns and a series of intimate seating rooms including inbuilt chess tables on the eastern edge of the space. Key elements include the use of red precast concrete walls which reference the surrounding agricultural land and furrowed layout provides the overall structure of the space.
