In this fireplace alcove we fitted built-in bookcases either side of the chimney, a mantel piece and cabinets either side of the fireplace. One of the cabinets has a door and is used for storage the other was left open to store firewood. It’s constructed entirely of solid rimu and finished in a hardwax oil.
At Quartersawn I design and build bespoke furniture and cabinetry, made in New Zealand in my Auckland workshop. With authentic craftsmanship my furniture is built to last, sustainable and tailored to the requirements of our clients.
From design consultation, timber selection and construction I work through the whole process with my clients to produce beautiful pieces.
I build a wide range of custom furniture from libraries, entertainment units and fitted cabinetry to smaller pieces such as dining tables and coffee tables.
