Welcome to the Rotorua Law Shop Reception project by Marlene Hudson Design! Our brief was to create a professional and inviting space for this law firm, focusing on a sleek black and white colour palette. To add some depth to the monochromatic scheme, we incorporated texture and pattern with unique wall treatments behind the reception counter and in the boardroom. The timeless wall panelling not only adds character but also protects against heavy foot traffic. 

One of our standout features is the custom desk we designed, which cleverly integrates a freestanding sit/stand desk for flexibility in varying heights. Research shows that standing at a computer can benefit health and increase productivity, so we wanted to offer this option to the staff. Additionally, we provided comfortable chairs in the reception area for clients and employees to relax in while waiting or having meetings.
